'Word-of-snout’ dog sitting service that all the dogs on the block are barking about

COMPATIBILITY SCREENING
Introductory multi-step screening, aims to ensure the best quality care for your dog. Bark of the Block is a small business that relies on "word-of-snout," referrals only, compatibility screening survey, as well as required meet & greets before boarding. These criteria, on top of limiting the number of dogs boarding at a single time, allow me to cater to the individual needs of the dogs in my care, and set-up the safest environment for everyone.
Step 1 - complete preliminary screening survey for us to take-down essential information, i.e. emergency information, health conditions and behavioral characteristics.
Step 2 - requires scheduling a meet and greet session for first-time boarders prior to check-in and boarding.

FAQ
EMERGENCIES
All owners/handlers are required to provide their veterinary doctor's information, and an emergency contact. I will contact you, and your emergency contact for urgent matters. Using my best judgment, I will take your pet to the nearest pet hospital if deemed necessary. Should additional emergency fees incur, these will be the responsibility of the dog's owner/handler.
MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION
All boarders are required to have proof of vaccinations. Your dog's health, safety and comfort is top priority, and I am happy to administer medicinal dosages as needed. The complexity of administration and frequency may include a small fee.
SUPPLIES -- WHAT DO I BRING?
If your dog is staying with me, please bring your dog's food and medications, and collar &/or harness. It is optional and recommended that owners/handlers bring beds and/or crates to encourage comfortable sleep and place arrangements. Toys, treats, blankets etc. are also optional and welcome.
BOOKING EARLY / CANCELLING LATE
It is preferred that you book at least 48 hours in advance, but exceptions can be made. Last minute/late cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will incur a $15 late fee to be applied to your next booking.
MY DOG EATS A RAW DIET, OR OTHER
Great! If your dog's food requires refrigeration or freezing, I'm happy to accommodate this. It's the responsibility of the owner to provide specialised foods and explicit feeding instructions to maintain health, safety and freshness.

MOBILITY ACCESSIBILITY
The building I live in has an elevator and some accessible features fit for humans and animals with different mobility needs. However, not all accommodations may be met. Please discuss your needs with me in advance.
I have limited experience caring for dogs with unique mobility needs, such as use of dog wheels or brace. I am open to boarders with such needs, following assessment of dog's particular needs and realistic evaluation of my own capacities to support your dog.

Opportunity for reduced rates!
If your dog is compatible and comfortable with my dog, Sarabi, staying with us in your home, I can accommodate a discount of $5 off the nightly rate, or $80/night.
