To ensure the dog(s) to be cared for and their humans feel comfortable with our approach to dogcare, we require at least one meet and greet be scheduled at no additional cost, prior to overnight care to introduce the caretaker, and to assess the dog's temperament and behaviors.

Additional follow up meetings/sessions prior to overnight dog sitting can be scheduled to support building trust over time, as needed.

We know it's hard to leave your fur-baby for any amount of time, and it is our goal to put your mind at ease. We take care of your dog in your own home, so that they can remain in their safe space and to reduce disruption to their normal routine as much as possible.

Both indoor and outdoor activities are planned to ensure your dog gets the mental and physical stimulation, with quiet / calm periods built-in to balance the day.

Additional A La Carte services may be included on a custom, case-by-case basis to support your dog's needs while you are away. From teeth-brushing to bathing, or daily medication administration or additional individual walks.

Seeing how much Sarabi has grown confidence over the past couple of months, assures me that Rachel provides great care and structure of the dogs in her care!

I appreciate that Bark of the Block limits the number of dogs boarding at a single time. I can trust that my pupper will get the all the attention he needs while in Rachel's care.

I love that Rachel cares for her dog boarders like she cares for her own, Sarabi! Long walks in prospect park, and comfortable down time in her apartment is what my dog needs when I'm away!
